Meet Deb

What distinguishes Deb as a coach? She's got experience from the trenches! 

A certified leadership coach and a facilitator for The Leadership Challenge, Deb Cummins Stellato has years of consulting experience working with diverse organizations. With a bachelor's degree in Social Work and  a master's in Organizational Development, Deb understands people and systems.

From building the right leadership, to evaluating organizational capacity, Deb's coaching model helps capture where clients are on their leadership journey and supports them in igniting the leader within.

NONPROFITS
Nonprofit organizations and their leaders face unique challenges. They live in the "important and urgent zone," and are putting out fires on a daily basis. 

With extensive experience as a nonprofit CEO, Deb has been in your shoes!  

For 6 years, she served as CEO of Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley. During this time, she launched the Habitat Lehigh Valley ReStore, and found new ways to serve more families with the Neighborhood Revitalization program. 

Think of Deb as your co-pilot, the nonprofit fixer, and a trusted advisor. She brings robust experience to nonprofit organizations as a consultant, coach, facilitator, and presenter - and can provide you with the support you need to deal with the challenges you are facing.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Deb has extensive experience with change management. She served as the former Interim Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County, and led the organization through a complex merger process.
 
FUNDRAISING
Deb Cummins Stellato is an experienced fundraiser. She has extensive experience in educational fundraising and corporate sponsorship.

ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS
Deb has a unique approach to diagnosing organizational challenges. She knows how to support leaders in developing future-focused solutions and action plans. Get to Know Me!

  1.  I was expelled in elementary school for starting a food fight. Over spaghetti. With a boy that I liked.
  2.  I spent two weeks at Fort Bragg at an ROTC program for college administrators. I shot a howitzer in shorts and a floral top.
  3.  I am afraid of birds. I stop the car and scream in the presence of wild turkeys.
  4.  I am a live concert junkie. My husband and I have seen almost 100 shows in our 15 years together.
  5.  I starred in every drama production during my high school years. (Not really a surprise for those who know me.)
  6.  I was a cheerleader. (Even less of a surprise. )
  7.  My husband and I got married during lunch by a judge in a courtroom. We went to Friendly’s for ice cream and went back to work.
  8.  I wanted to be a pediatric zoo vet until I realized that I had no interest in science.
  9.  I am a Jersey girl at heart.
  10.  I have had two neck surgeries. I know how to find the most ergonomic chair in any location.
  11.  I’ve been told I am an “earth angel”. Not sure what it means but I think it speaks to my finely tuned skills around intuition.
  12.  I have an unhealthy relationship with all things Bravo (TV) related. I love good stories.
  13.  I lived in residence hall with my two-year old daughter after going through a divorce. She got the bedroom and a Barney bed. I got the sofa.
  14.  My superpower is igniting potential fire in others.
  15.  My passion is around supporting people in finding their voice. And I don’t mean singing
  16.  I wanted to be the Oscar Mayer Weiner mobile when I was a kid. Anyone know why?
  17.  My grandmother was my idol.
  18.  The first words I read were "DQ" and "Bloomingdales." No surprise if you know my love for hot fudge sundaes and shopping.
  19.  I am obsessed with all things stationary. LOVE journals, planners and pens!
  20.  I’ve worked in lots of sectors…higher education, consulting, corporate and nonprofit. The same leadership challenge stories come up everywhere.
  21.  I’ve spent my life pursuing happiness and re-defining success.
  22.  If I could have a million pets…I would.
