"The only constant in life is change"

THE FACTS: Current challenges in the nonprofit sector are creating a leadership crisis. According to current research:

  • Between 60 and 75% of nonprofit executive directors will leave their position in the next five years.
  • Although nonprofits are talking about strategic planning most are not actually taking on succession planning
  • As external resources diminish, more organizations and funders are talking about the benefits of mergers and more defined strategic partnerships.

Think Good Leadership loves a good change challenge. Whether you need to assess your "bench strength" so that you can develop a succession plan, find a new CEO or start the courageous conversation about mergers (see my most article about PLC) we can help.

Let's get Ignited! How do you go from "good to great" as an individual, Board or organization? Schedule a complimentary 30 minute phone session about your biggest challenge today.

360 Assessments: Utilizing the LPI 360® (Leadership Practices Inventory) we provide individuals and teams with the insight and feedback into what it takes to become extraordinary.  The instrument (based on The Leadership Challenge) approaches leadership as a measureable, learnable and teachable set of behaviors. It is one of the best selling and most trusted 360-degree leadership assessments on the market.

Whole Brain Thinking Coaching: Imagine the possibilities if you could:

  • Communicate with those who have similar preferences as well as those who think differently?
  • Approach problems differently?
  • Significantly change the conversation about diversity and inclusion?
  • Ignite creativity and innovation?
  • Think differently about relationships?
  • Appreciate diverse thinking preferences and how they contribute to outcomes?
  • See beyond mental blind spots to reach breakthrough results?
  •  Improve decision-making and problem solving?

Synergy Circles provide nonprofit leaders with a safe space to build their leadership capacity and mindset with the support of their peers and a trained facilitator so that leaders are free to discuss the unique challenges and experiences of serving as nonprofit leaders.

Relationships rule. In an age of collaboration, nonprofit leaders need to learn to move from a scarcity to abundance mentality of leadership. Our facilitator is adept in supporting groups as they build familiarity, comfort and trust. By creating a confidential, synergistic learning environment, leaders support one another in problem solving with those who have different points of view.

Discussion topics are driven by group members and might range from leading Boards to capacity building. The role of the facilitator is to keep the conversation moving forward so that participants can begin to synthesize new approaches to complex problems. Real leaders will be working on real problems with a focus on listening, reflection and collaborative inquiry with others learners.

Synergy Circles consist of up to ten individuals who meet face to face or virtually on a regular basis. Interested in starting a Synergy Circle? Contact us for more information.

At Think Good Leadership, we know that on-going Board Development matters. Our approach to working with non-profit Boards is vision based and action driven.

Our customized work with your Board focuses on three specific modules. Each module is available individually as a two-hour stand-alone program or collectively as a full day Board retreat.

Alignment- Think Good specializes in creating common leadership language for organizations. Through the use of one of our group assessment tools, we work with you on creating a common language around problem solving, decision-making, communication, thinking and leading.

Building strategic touchstones: Our unique approach to facilitating a meaningful dialogue around organizational values forms the foundation for setting organizational direction. Different than strategic planning, strategic touchstones create the leadership compass for Board’s and serve as the driving value based principles for capacity building, brand building and organizational excellence.

Board Engagement: Utilizing an engagement tool, we look at what volunteer engagement looks like and what it means for Board participation. Through this process we work to ensure alignment between Executive Director expectations and Board performance.
